Client: Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida

VIA Concepts was approached to redesign several Boys and Girls’ Clubs in Jacksonville, Florida in order to improve existing and outdated facilities and better accommodate the organization’s changing needs. Both clubs are renovations/expansions of existing buildings. One club, to be re-titled as the Citi Teen Center, is geared towards teenage club members, and features a commercial kitchen and rentable banquet hall (to create jobs and income), a movie room, recording studio, and climbing wall. The Woodland Acres club is focused on supporting an “urban farm” type learning environment, where club members may help with growing and harvesting produce. The design includes a large multipurpose/lunch room and teen center.
