Tat Chan
Our team is headed by Mr. Tat Chan. With over 30 years of experience, Tat is well respected and acknowledged as an innovative designer in architectural circles. He has earned this reputation through his creative diligence on a variety of high profile projects. As founder and owner, Tat is responsible for all facets of architecture and planning at VIA Concepts. He has a highly diverse portfolio of work that includes corporate, civic, educational, industrial, transportation, mixed-use, master-planning, and residential projects.
Tat was honored to receive the Young Designer Achievement Award in 2002 from his alma mater, University of Florida, in recognition of his early contributions to the field of architecture. He regularly serves as a juror and critic for student presentations and architectural awards, and he believes strongly in investing into the next generation of young architects.
Prior to founding VIA Concepts, Tat was Design Director for Aviation, Commercial, and Institutional projects at RS&H and a Senior Design Architect at the prestigious New York firms KPF and DMJM (now known as AECOM). One of the largest projects he managed was the Airport Access Program, a transportation infrastructure program spanning throughout New York and New Jersey. Other notable projects include design services for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
