This competition addresses the needs to develop low income housing in the city of St. Petersburg.  The use of the shipping containers not only provides for an economic building block but the high density of the project provides both the benefits of a high density living and the green landscape and open space of suburbia.

IIn a suburban landscape there is a good proportion between nature and built environment.  As a city grows, land becomes more valuable, and the built environment goes vertical, however the landscape dissappears.  Why can't the landscape go vertical?
