The sense of arrival at the beaches has
long been an outstanding item on the City of Atlantic Beach
and Neptune Beach agenda. VIA Concepts was chosen by the two
municipalities to design a welcoming sign to greet visitor.
The site for this endeavor is located directly after the intracoastal
bridge as a visitor progress east toward the Atlantic Coast.
The convoluted Department of Transportation signs and other
information signs generate a challenge for this effort. The
resort was a low free-forming signage that integrates the topography
and landscape in creating a visual oasis for the motorists.
A relief from the bombardment of way finding signs, the landscaped
waving wall gently greets visitors as they descend from the
intracoastal bridge into the first coast beaches.
